ALSTROEMERIA AWARD
This award is a year prize, established by the joint Alstroemeria breeders, and yearly awarded by the Alstroemeria committee of VKC to the most promising Alstroemeria variety.
This means:
A best variety, which to the judgment of the committee has contributed to a successful floricultural-technical and commercial growing of Alstroemeria in the Netherlands.
A variety, which in the year of judgement, or in the following year, will be delivered to commercial flower growers. It must also be a acrop which has not been in trade for more than three years (commercially planted by third parties).
