COMMITTEES
Members of the jury are united in committees. A committee has the task to judge the entered (plant) material according to the judging criteria.
VKC has the following committees:

The VKC Board is entitled to change the number of committees at all times. Each committee consists of minimally five members, e.g. two members on behalf of the culture, two on behalf of breeders and or breeders and a member on behalf of one of the other organisations. These members are nominated to VKC by specific organisations in the horticultural branch.
A member of the jury is elected for a period of five years with a possibility of re-election for another five years. After ten years a member of the jury has to step down and must be replaced. Each committee elects a president from its midst for the duration of one year. Re-election is possible.
A committee can only carry out its work unless at least three members of the committee are present.
Besides the judging the Nomenclature and Identification committee advises the product group Registration and Documentation. The members of this committee are, contrary to the members of other committees, re-electable immediately after two periods.
