ANNUAL MEETING VKC 2010

At February 4 the annual meeting of VKC took place in the Green Pavillion in Baarn.
After a warm welcome by the owner of the Pavillion Hans Blokzij, director Leo van der Zon reviewed the activities of 2009. A growing number of registrations and judgings could be reported.
Mr. Hans Koehorst, coordinator at Floriade 2012 informed the audience about the present state of Floriade 2012. The grounds are taking shape, the buildings will be realised in the course of this year. The world exhibition, organised under the auspices of AIPH, will take place under a number of themes: Relax and Heal, Green Engine, Education and Innovation, Environment and World Stage Show.
Next on the programme was a workshop, as to form criteria for trade judgings. Those present were divided over a number of groups, who judged two products each. Although it was hard to work in a different way - judging for criteria - good conclusions could be made at the end of this session. The results of the workshop will be published in a later stage, and will be used when further orgsnising the new trade judging sessions.
