Royal decorations for Gerard de Wagt en Cees Tichelaar

On 29 April Gerard de Wagt received a Royal Decoration during a festive meeting at the townhall of Hillegom.
Gerard de Wagt has been working with VKC as from 5 June 1978 as coordinator Judgings. In this period he has performed his duties with great dedication. Doing so he earned a great reputation and has been able to put VKC as a judging authority at a higher plan. The organisation of alls orts of activities in judging products, towns, national gardens, shows is well secured in this hands. Lots of new ideas keep coming from him all the time. In the more than 31 years he has been doing so, his net work has become gigantic; thus he has promoted the horticultural branch in an inimitable way.
The fact that he has been giving all efforts at all times remained not unnoticed, and more than one organisation granted him a decoration, silver pin, diploma or the title of 'special member'. Recently during the annual meeting of the yearly meeting of the Aalsmeer Groei en Bloei-department (to be compared with RHS-branch) the Dirk Jongkind Mzn. prize was offered to him.
Also Cees Tichelaar received a decoration for his activities for the Kudelstaart Korfball Club and VKC. Cees Tichelaar has been a member of the board of VKC and has been judging floricultural products during a great number of years.
