Nine nominees as best stands of Plantarium 2010
VKC from Roelofarendsveen was requested to perform the judging of the stands of Plantarium. With appr. 30 members of the judging committees in four segments stands were judged. The entrants had their stand judged in one of the following categories:
- Retail
- Trade
- Starting material
- Production
After a first round the following candidates were chosen for best stand Plantarium 2010. In the category Starting material these were:
- Hkw. Hoogenraad from Ederveen with a stand with woody arboricultural products of a fine quality. More than 300 products were shown. The assortment was exhibited in a perfect way, with correct taxonomic labels.
- Best in this segment became Hkw. Exceptio BV from Boyl with a stand with mainly perennials in a wide assortment, like Phlox, Rudbeckia and Liriope. The stand gives sufficient information by means of product information and correct labeling.
Category Production
Last year's winner qualified again as one of the best stands in this category. With a blue berry of perfect quality in various growing stages a good message was handed to the clients. Great product information!
Nolina Boomkwekerij BV from Woubrugge became best with a stand with a unique assortment of flowering roses in many colours. The clients are being well inspired to buy this product.
Category Trade
- Arie Bouwman Tuinplanten BV from Wijk en Aalburg also showed roses: potroses as well as climbers. The wide assortment was striking, as well as the product and company information. The labeling was perfect.
- Winner in the segment Trade were Pkm A/S (Fairytale Flowers from Odense, Denmark with a stand which focused on hobby markets and garden centers. Also products, well suited for export, such as the special Campanula were shown.
Category Retail
- Third became Marcel van Leeuwen Boomkwekerij from Reeuwijk. The theme was well presented. On a small scale many products were shown, like Citysus, Echinacea, Hypericum and Hebe.
- Second became the stand of Koos Buitenhuis VOF from Boskoop with products like Berberis and Conifers. The representative stand showed beautiful examples of how to approach hobby markets, garden centers etc. with these products.
Winner in the sector Retail and stand of Plantarium 2010
Son and Koot BV from Kaatsheuvel showed excellent quality of a wonderful innovating assortment, with correct labels. Acer, Photinia and Hydrangia and many other products were presented.
Best supplier Plantarium 2010
A stand with a totally white presentation of vases, pots and background with a large diversity of crops, arranged in a rhytmic design. The stand was very inviting and indicated clearly what sort of company and activity is shown. The message was put out clearly. CNB from Lisse became the winner.
