Only a few entries with Gebr. Evers from uit Moerkapelle with his winning entry Lilium longiflorum ‘White Heaven’. The nice long stem had sufficient flowers of a great quality and scored 9.22 points and the cup.
Potlily
A fine quality was shown. With pot lilies especially compactness, relation stem/flower and richness of flowering are the most important criteria. The Originals BV showed the orange ‘Suncrest Matrix’ in the Asiatic group, a very compact compact entry which gained 9.30 points. However, the cup was for a dark pink culltivar with the name 'Tiny Pearl’ with 9.4 points by Mak Breeding BV from Wieringerwerf. With the orientals it was Van Schie, showing ‘Souvenir’, a light pink with white hearted pot lily, who scored 9.50 points. The winner was just a little better (9.55 points) for the cultivar Por 04-17-11. This cultivar is red/purple with a white edge, which gives a great contrast. The large flowers show beautifully, so Fa. van Schie from Honselersdijk could call himself the winner with 9.55 points.
Breeders
Asiatics/LA
An exciting contest with appr. 50 entries. The Orginals BV from Noorden showed their candidate, a red cultivar ‘Orginal Love’ . Other lilies
Special, spectaculair, nearly unreal was the opinion of the jury about the winner, a crossing of LO LLO with the name ‘Cali’, a pink lily with a flower diameter of 30 cm. This eyecatcher was not only a great show lily, but also of high quality. 9.45 points were gained by Marklily from Lisse.
Plasbokaal
No less than 25 entries were in the race with the liliy ‘Lesotho’, a yellow lily with relatively large flowers and buds. It was an exiting contest: who would become the runner up of Perry v.d. Geest, last year's winner. This year this Perry v.d. Geest became second, and Peter Hoogland from Dirkshorn had the best quality! of beautifully uniform flowers, a nice deep yellow colour.
