Motivation Interpolis Quality Cup 2010

In total 10 entries were nominated for the Interpolis Quality Cup.

The nominations, starting with cutflowers:

Hippeastrum ‘Challenger’ by Amarylliskwekerij A.G. Boers from ’s-Gravenzande. The stems with white/green flowers related well in flower/stem. The very large flowers were striking.

Hydrangea macrophylla Pimpernel Classic by Fa. G.J.A. van Santen from Honselersdijk had a trendy purplish colour, which contrasted nicely with the beautiful leaves.

Eustoma russellianum ‘Arena Gold’ by Fa. J. Beishuizen from Maasdijk, showed a beautiful flower with an intense yellow colour. The entry was uniform.

Alstroemeria Tonatiuh by H.M. Tesselaar CS from Heerhugowaard. As well as last year this entry gained prizes. The striking yellow colour of the flowers in combination with the perfect relation between stem, flower and leaf were an example for the Alstroemeria.

Chrysanthemum ‘Astro’ by Kwekerij de Zweetdruppel from Roelofarendsveen . The bronze coloured spray chrysanthemum had a beautiful colour and correct flower shape.

Phalaenopsis ‘Sogo Yukidian V3’ by Royal Base Corporation from Taipei, Taiwan. A waterfall of white flowers, which was unique in quality; the long stem gave it an extra dimension.

Potplants:

Phalaenopsis Ocean Pacifik by Ocean Orchids, Dobrovnik, Slovenia. This large flowering white pot phalaenopsis was of super quality. The size and location of the flowers was identical over the whole stem.

Begonia Borias Dark by M. Koppe BV from Ermelo. This contestant entered two products for the Interpolis Quality Cup, a foliage begonia and a flowering Begonia. The foliage begonias were of a great size and the colour was amazing.

Begonia Beleaf Morning Dew by M. Koppe BV from Ermelo: the large plants had lots of leaves and were uniform. A perfect shape and decorative leaves and the compact bulb shape gave a striking view of a very uniform entry.

Cyclamen Super Serie Verano Gemengd (Mixed) by W. & A. de Rijke BV from Poeldijk. The mix showed a nice, uniform palet. The richflowering crop was nice and compact because of its short and sturdy flower stems.

These are the 10 nominees, and the winner of the Interpolis Quality Cup was:

In the category "Green Presentation" the stand by Floricultura from Heemskerk gained9.70 points and thus the first prize.

Best designer HortiFair 2010 became Zuidkoop Natural Projects from De Lier with the stand from Anthura BV. With a score of 9.20 points the Csizik Cup was his.
