Contestants for the Jan Goemans Trophy
The Jan Goemans Trophy is awarded yearly to the new or on parts improved cultivar. For a new, improved cultivar this may concern: in the field of growth, keepability, production or quality. It should also be an commercially interesting cultivar with market perspective. The Freesia Committee of VKC follows plantings at a trial nursery; also relevant information of breeders is passed to VKC. The judgment is carried out on paper and the jury may choose from the following cultivars:
Clarissa, Rubina River, Yellow Passion, Tournesol, Albertville, Toulouse, Rio, Maya, Morning Sun en Riga.
