Prisma Gladiolus wins Flynth Challenge Cup with novelty

27-07-2011

The National Gladiolus show moved to CNB in Lisse this year. In the presentation room a large assortment of large and small flowering gladioli was shown. The weather conditions had not been too good for the gladioli growers. Many gladioli had been harvested the week before and forced into flowering, which had resulted in some cases in somewhat overflowered products. The jury was happy with the shown quality however. The products were shown optimally. Under the entries a good number of potential novelties. The jury existed of gladioli growers, tradesmen and someone from the auction, as well as a florist. Thus the jury had a fresh look at the quality. The organisation offered five prizes in each category. The sponsor Flynth offered a challenge cup.
