Florecom moves to new location

Roelofarendsveen, 3 August 2011: From the sector advice of the Top team: "Dutch horticulture must be a forerunner in the field of information management as well as be the sector which sets the standard nationally and internationally. The developments in this field are progressive, but will have to go faster still". Therefore cooperation, concentration of knowledge and power, is of the utmost importance.
At this moment Florecom completes an inventarisation on the enormous diversity in encoding and encoding systems in the sector. By the end of August this report will be published. The expectations are that following this publication agreements will be made about an integral product encoding where all parties like VKC, trade, auctions, VBN, growers and Florecom will participate.
Florecom anticipates on these developments by moving office to Sotaweg 25 in Roelofarendsveen on 5 September next. Also VKC has its offices at this location. Thus a basis can be laid for intensive cooperation in the field of standardizing product encoding to reinforce Dutch floriculture.
