Hollyhocks are beautiful cottage garden plants. Often you only see a few open flowers on one stem. The others are still flower buds or already withere, which makes it a less attractive cut flower. Therefore breeders are keen on producing varieties with open, more keepable, flowers. The Spring Celebrities Series show that they are approaching the target.
