Echinacea as a cut flower is a small group at the auction. Only three cultivars are coded. If within one week VKC registers three new cultivars, this is striking enough for one of them to become Registration of the Week. The colour is mostly purple, which is shown by the species name purpurea. However, this new crossing is not purple but green. 'Green Jewel' is a breakthrough.
